Affiliate Disclosure
Some Quanta pages carry clearly-labelled sponsored offers. If you sign up for a product through one of those links, the partner may pay Quanta a commission at no cost to you. Offers are kept strictly separate from calculations: a partner cannot see, sponsor, or influence any calculator's formula, inputs, or results.
Where affiliate links appear, and where they never do
Affiliate links appear only inside a bordered block labelled “Sponsored offers”, placed below a calculator's result area on a small number of relevant pages — for example, a life-insurance needs calculator may show offers from insurance marketplaces. Every such block carries a disclosure line linking to this page.
Affiliate links never appear inside calculator results, worked examples, formula explanations, FAQs, citations, or any editorial text. If a product is named in a calculator's content, it is there for editorial reasons and is not a paid placement.
Commissions cannot influence results
Every Quanta calculator computes from a published formula with cited sources, listed in the page's provenance block. The affiliate system is a separate data file that the calculation engine cannot read; adding, changing, or removing a partner cannot alter a single computed number. This separation is enforced in the codebase and covered by automated tests.
Offer blocks are also excluded from clinical-score pages entirely. Where a page's subject is health-critical, no monetization pressure belongs anywhere near it.
How links are marked
Every affiliate link is marked with rel=“sponsored”, the machine-readable declaration to search engines that a link is commercial. What you see labelled is exactly what the crawler sees labelled.
Which partners
Quanta works with established affiliate networks (such as Impact, CJ Affiliate, and FlexOffers) and the financial brands they represent. Partners change over time; the label on each offer names the product, and the network relationship exists whether or not you click.
Compensation ranges from a fixed referral fee to a percentage, paid by the partner. You never pay more — and often pay nothing — by using an affiliate link rather than visiting the partner directly.
Questions
If anything on a page looks like it blurs the line between calculation and commerce, that is a bug in our standards — report it through the contact page and it will be treated as one.
