That total is then split by the beer, wine, and spirits percentages you set: beerDrinks = totalDrinks × beerShare/100, and similarly for wine and spirits. At a 40/40/20 split, 575 drinks becomes 230 beer drinks, 230 wine drinks, and 115 spirits drinks.
